Khulood Khaldoon Al Atiyat

Manager, Arts, Culture and Heritage

Khulood Khaldoon Al Atiyat joined the Foundation in September 2013 as a Manager in the Arts, Culture and Heritage program. Ms. Al Atiyat is responsible for leading a number of initiatives, including the Art Trip and the Emerging Artists Fellowship program.

From 2010 to 2013, Ms. Al Atiyat was the Assistant Director of Student Life at the New York University Abu Dhabi where she was responsible for the department’s intercultural affairs. Ms. Al Atiyat lead projects and programs designed to help international students learn about, assimilate to and interact with Emirati culture and the Emirati community.

From 2006 to 2010, Ms. Al Atiyat worked at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding where she became the Public Relations and Events Director. During her time there, Ms. Al-Atiyat was responsible for educating the diverse expatriate community about UAE culture, its people and its social etiquette. Ms. Al Atiyat conducted these sessions with official delegates from the US Department of State, the Ambassadors of Canada and the US to the UAE, President George W. Bush and along with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Ms. Al Atiyat holds a Bachelor degree in Public Relations and Advertising with a focus on Tourism and Special Events, from Zayed University-Dubai. She is also a certified InterCultural Intelligence practitioner and instructor.
