Muntada Hosts its Next Forum on: Big Achievements. Early Starts
Muntada, a forum for new ideas, will host its next talk on Monday 27 January at Manarat Al Saadiyat, Saadiyat Island featuring 5 youth with remarkable achievements to highlight their work and inspire others.
The 5 youth achievers are, Abdul Muqeet Abdul Mannan, Adeeb Al Blooshi, Cameron Oliver, Dubai Abulhoul and Hamda Al Bana.
During Muntada, which is a part of Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation speaker series, the 3 Emiratis and 2 long-term residents will talk about the rationale behind their ideas, how they accomplished them and the difficulties they faced.
Abdul Muqeet Abdul Mannan, aged 12 now, initiated his campaign against usage of plastic bags in 2010. He has received many awards including the prestigious Abu Dhabi Award in 2011.
Adeeb Al Blooshi is a young talented Emirati inventor with a number of scientific innovations focused on people with special needs.
Cameron Oliver started his awareness camel campaign in 2008 to stop the senseless killing of 1 in every 2 camels every day in the desert due to littering.
Dubai Abulhoul is officially named the Middle East’s youngest director at the age of 11 at the inaugural Gulf Film Festival, the first Emirati fantasy novel writer in English and was named the youngest published Emirati at the age of 16.
Hamda Al Bana, aged 17 now, is considered to be the youngest Emirati to reach the South Pole.
“We are delighted to be hosting these 5 youth achievers and to share with others their significant accomplishments,” stated Her Highness Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, Founder of the Foundation. “They are truly an inspiration to us all. Our aim in this very unique talk is to inspire others to follow their example and create lasting contributions as they did.”
