The Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation supports a number of initiatives designed to promote greater public awareness of Multiple Sclerosis, dementia and other related health conditions, and strengthen the treatment, care and support provided to patients and their families in the UAE.

The SHF’s main Health-related programs and initiatives include:

• Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Program: A specialized clinic at the Neurological Institute of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) that provides information, treatment, and other types of therapy and support to MS patients in the UAE and their families while seeking to boost the knowledge of local medical professionals in relation to the diagnosis and treatment of MS.
• Memory Program: A multifaceted effort to increase public awareness of dementia, improve the research, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dementia in the UAE, and work with local health authorities to strengthen care and support services for dementia patients and their families.
