Muntada: Why start early? The Importance of Early Childhood Development
The Salama bint Hamdan Foundation is proud to announce its next Muntada forum that will take place on October 6th (ladies only) and October 7th (public) at Manarat Al Saadiyat from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Theme of the upcoming Muntada is : Why start Early? The Importance of Early Childhood Development.
Early childhood is an exciting time of rapid growth and change. In the first years of life, young children are full of curiosity and are eager to learn about the world around them. Physical environments and social experiences play a central role in young children’s health, cognitive skills, language and literacy abilities, social and emotional competence, and sense of identity and belonging. These basic aspects of development form the foundation for a life of productivity, health and happiness.
Speaking at this Muntada are Dr. Salvatore LaSpada, Executive Director of Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation; Ms. Fatima Al Bastaki, Sr. Advisor of Shamsa bint Mohamed Al Nahyan Fellowship in Early Childhood Development; and Dr. Walter Gilliam, Director of The Edward Zigler Center in Child Development and Social Policy at Yale University.
